How to get to the Grunau Hotel
How to reach the Grunau Hotel by public transport:
The main station in Bayreuth can be reached from Nürnberg with a regional VGN
ticket or nationwide DB tickets.
You may take a taxi to the Grunau Hotel or go to the central bus stop
"ZOH Markt" with lines 301, 302, 303, 305, 308 or 309. From there, take
line 307 in direction "Aichig". The "Grunau Park" stop
is directly at the Grunau Hotel. The night bus line 322 goes directly
from the main station to the "Sonnenstraße" stop which is
250m from the Grunau Hotel.
How to reach the Grunau Hotel by car:
Leave the motorway A9/E51 at exit 41 (Bayreuth-Nord) or exit 42
(Bayreuth-Süd), whichever you reach first. From there, follow this
routing:
From exit 41 (Bayreuth-Nord):
Follow the signs to "Weiden" all the way for 4.8 km, until
you can see the Grunau Hotel on your left side. The trip will take about
8 min. For the second half of the route, there are also signs mentioning
the Grunau Hotel.
From exit 42 (Bayreuth-Süd):
Leave the motorway in direction Bayreuth and follow the brown sings "Hotels"
or "Grunau Hotel" all the way for 4.7 km, until
you can see the Grunau Hotel on your left side. The trip will take about
7 min.
Please note: in 2006, the exit 42 (Bayreuth-Süd) has been
relocated and completely changed. Older car navigation systems may not know about the
current position of the
motorway and the exit 42.
